Secondary Excess Protection Package (Rambler)

This required protection is included with every rental and helps limit your financial responsibility if damage occurs.

It works alongside primary coverage to reduce your out-of-pocket exposure for qualifying claims, based on the protection level selected. Higher protection levels offer greater reduction in financial responsibility, providing added peace of mind during your trip.

Primary coverage is still required for all rentals. This protection is designed to complement that coverage and help protect you from larger unexpected costs.

Your selected protection level determines your maximum out-of-pocket responsibility per incident. Any applicable deductible or out-of-pocket responsibility is separate from the security deposit and is assessed on a per-incident basis, not per rental.

This means that each distinct event or occurrence may result in a separate responsibility amount. For example, striking a gas station pump would be considered one incident, while a separate event such as tire damage from a pothole would be considered another. Multiple incidents during a rental may result in multiple deductible responsibilities.

The security deposit is primarily used to cover incidental charges and trip-related expenses, including but not limited to tolls, fuel, excess mileage, generator usage, cleaning, and other applicable fees. While the security deposit may be applied toward damages at our sole discretion, it is not intended to represent or limit your total financial responsibility.

Deductibles, damages, and other charges are not limited to the security deposit and may be collected independently in accordance with the rental agreement.
